The history, and base, of Airship Ribs began to take shape in the late summer and early fall of 2005. During that period three offshore powerboat racers entered into an agreement to start a boat building company. A unique opportunity was presented, building RIB’s. The idea was to use technology learned on the race circuit in build a high technology boat that still represented value by providing excellent quality at a fair price.

The 288 – first boat in the Airship product line. With the management teams decision to implement Vacuum Resin Infusion from Airship’s inception, the 288 was the school and test platform for our lamination team to perfect the VRI process. Coupled with all foam cored sandwich construction, the boat is lightweight and durable. ‍This RIB is the right size for many uses; the length provides safety and stability in all sea states. This platform is proven in all water sports from diving to towing. A byproduct of the lightweight is great performance with all outboard engine sizes up to 350 HP, but also offers outstanding fuel economy, safety and ease of trailering. ‍With a long list of options the Airship 288 can be configured to meet the most demanding needs from yacht tender to performance RIB.

Airship 300 DS. Just hitting the water is the new Airship 300 Diesel Sport.

Testing has begun with the 3.0L Mercury Diesel with the Bravo 3 X Drive.

Initial results are very good with mid 50’s performance and outstanding fuel economy and handling.

Like many companies, the Airship product line started to expand because of customer requests. The 310 was developed to accept twin-engine installations. Long distance customers wanted the extra reliability of twins, and the extended cruise range with optional larger fuel capacity. That being said, the 310 is an exceptional performer with a single engine. In July of 2018, an Airship 310 beat the sanctioned single engine outboard record around Long Island by half. ‍Using the same build techniques of all Airships, the 310 is lightweight and durable. The vessel offers a safe and stable ride in all conditions. Like all Airships, each one is custom built, offering a long list of standard features, and virtually any option a customer desires can be achieved. There are large storage areas under the bow sun pad and rear seat, and a cooler under the console bow seat. ‍If you are looking for a RIB that offers performance, style and flexibility, look no further than the Airship 310.

Being the flagship of the Airship line, the 340 replaces the previous 330 model with even more high-quality features and design changes. The most noticeable change is the transom area. Airship engineers extended the rear deck, which also incorporated an engine setback, and a tube top step for ease of boarding. The large platform eases movement in preparation for all watersports. A composite hardtop is an option developed for the 2019 model year. Construction features remain consistent utilizing varying density foam cores and vinylester resins to form a lightweight, yet very strong vessel. ‍With a 25 degree bottom that extends to the transom, and a twin step bottom, the 340 provides outstanding handling and performance in varying sea conditions. The tapered tubes give this model a unique style, while still providing all the benefits of a RIB, including a very dry ride. With the standard heavy-duty tow eye, the craft exhibits excellent towing characteristics when used as a yacht tender. The base 340 comes nicely equipped and offers unlimited options to support any use for this SUV of the water.
